Children's Choice Celebration
Congratulations to fourth graders Sophie Ruddy and Gavin Bares for reading ALL of the 2014-2015 Children's Choice books. They are the only students in the whole school that achieved this amazing goal and to celebrate, they enjoyed a lunch of Jimmy Johns' sandwiches and were able to invite a friend to join them. Starting reading the 2015-2016 Children's Choice books NOW so that next year you will be able to attend the celebration. It's a lot of fun!
Library Helpers
Do you like books? Do you like to help? I'm looking for a few very responsible students to become a library helper for the school year. Tasks may vary but could include light housekeeping, changing displays, cleaning tables, straightening shelves and maybe even using the library checkout system (for very super responsible people.) Come and talk to Mrs. Tegels if you would like more information.
Battle of the Books
Would you be interested in participating in a Battle of the Books contest if Wallace decided to offer this opportunity? Battle of the Books can be a very intense event with students competing from a wide range of schools. For the first year, we woud likely do a local competition just within our school building and look at expanding in the future. If you'd like more information about Battle of the Books, click here.
